In past 3 months, ChatGPT has made a roller coaster ride in the tech world and to be more precise, it has interrupted the life of every professional and student. It is the most talked topic anywhere you go. There has been a bigger question to ask is “will we loose originality and creativity? Will human mind stop doing task on its own? GPT has been labelled “The best AI chatbot ever released” by the New York Times. Chat GPT was launched on 30th November 2022, and has created a blizzard on the internet. OpenAI’s chatbot has broken all the records and has crossed 1mn users within one week of its launch.
ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI for natural language processing tasks such as question-answering, language translation, and text generation. It is attracting an estimated 96mn visitors per month.
Microsoft invested $10bn in OpenAI, gaining 46% of stake ownership of the company. By the end of the year 2024, OpenAI expects its revenue to increase to $1bn
ChatGPT is designed to interact with users in a conversational manner, providing helpful and informative responses to their queries. It is widely used in various applications, including customer service, chatbots, and virtual assistants. The model has been trained on a massive amount of data, including web pages, books, and other text sources. It has been trained using a technique called unsupervised learning, which means that it has learned to understand language patterns and structures without being explicitly taught.
Chat GPT has impressive stats, with 175bn parameters and 570 GB data, which has helped it gain a large user base quickly. It has an accuracy of +85%, and it can even write flawless code snippets, making it a valuable tool for software engineering, and various sectors and applications. Chat GPT has secured 100mn users globally in January 2023, which speaks to its immense popularity and the effectiveness of word-of-mouth marketing.
Bing did get a noticeable uptick in traffic, coinciding with the rise of ChatGPT, while the impact to Google’s traffic appears non-existent, implying Bing/ChatGPT traffic is incremental. Bing alongside ChatGPT has shown massive increase in number of users which shows the positive impact for the Microsoft Bing & OpenAI integration.
GPT-4 is launched in 2023. It is expected to have 100x more powerful computation power than GPT 3. GPT-4 is OpenAI’s most advanced system, producing safer and more useful responses.
